For public-interest maintenance work on major motorway sections of the A1 between Domžale and Ljubljana (Zadobrova), including the šentjakob and Sneberje interchanges, the Motorway Company in the Republic of Slovenia (DARS d.d.) has awarded a €80.79 million contract. Two of Slovenia's top infrastructure and construction firms, CGP d.d. and POMGRAD d.d., make up the winning consortium. The agreement, which was signed on August 12, 2025, intends to guarantee better-maintained, safer, and more resilient motorway infrastructure in the busiest corridor in the country.

The project will take 50 months to complete and will cost €80,786,656.61 (VAT excluded), which is much less than the original €93.55 million estimate and reflects a competitive procurement process.

The lowest allowable bid, €80.79 million, was made by the CGP-POMGRAD consortium. Competitors then made offers as high as €84.49 million. Upon verification, one bid was deemed inadmissible.
