Description:
New, interoperable, electric locomotives must be suitable for driving in cross-border traffic and capable of flexible operation on lines with different systems without changing locomotives, thereby eliminating operational stops at border stations. The Slovenian railway network is connected to Frnetworks of four neighboring countries with 6 border stations that are electrified: Jesenice, Špilje (OBB), Hodoš (MAV), Dobova, Šapjane (HŽ) and Opčine (FS). locomotives, which are the subject of public procurement, require a speed of 200 km/h. Such a speed enables a more attractive implementation of international traffic, for driving, even on lines, with higher line speeds.
To achieve interoperability, new locomotives must comply with the latest valid TSI regulations. To achieve sustainable decisions regarding future purchases, zrequires built-in ETCS level 2 safety devices with STM interface including national safety devices for driving in countries for which an operating license is required. In addition, manufacturers must ensure fast delivery of spare parts and qualified support.
New locomotives must bei manufactured with characteristics that will enable the following:
-achieving a maximum train speed (minimum) of 200 km/h,
-maximum axle load of 22.5 t in relation to the planned modernization of the network,
-hauling of passenger trains up to 25 rpm in certain parts tracks in the RS,
-recuperative braking,
