- Pursuant to Article 158 of the Law on the Protection of Ionizing Radiation and Nuclear Safety (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 76/17, 26/19 and 172/21), the Ministry of Health - the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Radiation Protection ensures the implementation of food monitoring and drinking water in the Republic of Slovenia. The order is awarded for a period of one year of T.J. 2022. Monitoring of radioactive contamination of the environment since 1961 is carried out. Rules on radioactivity monitoring (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 27/18) sets out the Annual Monitoring Framework Program. In total, 55 food samples will be taken, in which the specific concentration of gamma and SR-90 samples and 15 drinking water samples will be measured, in which the specific concentration of Gamma and SR-90 and tritium will be measured. The Rules requires that the radioactivity monitoring provider must have an authorization to perform monitoring.
