Description:
The automated peptide synthesis system allows for shorter and longer peptides with a well -defined amino acid sequence. Synthesis usually takes place under heterogeneous conditions on a solid carrier and is based on complementary protective groups on amino acids and reactions that have practically quantitative conversion. The synthesis process is automated and is carried out through predefined successive steps of adding activated amino acids to the peptide sequence. Each merging amino acid into the peptide sequence is followed by the removal of a protective group on the amino amino group, usually fmoc (fluoreilmethyloxycarbonile protected group), which can then react with the next activated carboxyl group of new amino acids. In addition to the amine group, functional groups of side chains of amino acids are also protected, which prevents side reactions during synthesis. Reagents and by-products are removed during synthesis using organic solvents, usually DMF (N, N-Dimethylformamide). Order Type: Mild Reference Number of Document:
