- The TPEG signal is primarily used to transmit traffic events and traffic current (TEC/TFP), which some TPEG Internet mobile service providers add to service with information on weather and forecast (WEA). As part of this contract, the following will be carried out: TPEG will be transmitted to the user via various transmission media, such as digital broadcast via the radio network (eg DAB, DAB+) and cellular networks (mobile internet) via TCP/IP protocols. The TPEG2 service frame will provide a multitude of TPEG services and binary applications (DAB, DAB+,) and in XML format (Internet). The TPEG applications also contain information on the situation on the transport network (TEC, TFP, PKI), weather (WEA), fuel price (FPI), available parking spaces (PKI), electric charging stations (EMI), and also multimodal information for Public transport (RMR).
